Scriven & Co was founded in 1937 by AJW (Jack) Scriven FALPA, with David Cole FRICS, joining shortly after. The firm soon became established in the Black Country and the West Midlands, and Jack's sons; Don, Harry and Martin (all Chartered Surveyors) subsequently joined the company and became Directors, with Martin being the last to retire in 2020. Gordon Tibbetts FNAEA, FARLA was appointed as a Director in 2007, and Jack's grandsons George Scriven AssocRICS NAEA, and Charles Scriven MRICS ARLA became Directors in 2015.
Kevin Davis MRICS, Nicola Stevens ARLA, Jon Dunbar FARLA and Andrew Thomas MAAT are also associates of the company.

Scriven & Co are regulated by the RICS (The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) who is a professional body that promotes and enforces the highest international standards in the valuation, management and development of land, real estate, construction and infrastructure, within the property industry.

The company operates a complaints handling procedure which is available upon request. We also utilise the services of the PRS (Property Redress Scheme) and CEDR (Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution). Our Data Protection Policy, Money Laundering Procedure and Money Handling Procedure are all fully detailed on our website.
Our premises are situated on the west side of Birmingham, just 6 miles from the City Centre and close to Junction 3 of the M5 motorway. Situated opposite Asda on the Hagley Road West (A456) our spacious office premises front the main road and is accessed from the front court yard. Car parking is available along Hagley Road West (immediately in front of our premises) and also on our large private car park situated to the rear. Should you park on our car park, please use the side path and gate which leads you to the front of the premises. The car-park is accessed via Bissell Street (B32 1AH), located off “High Street”.
In addition to the various seating areas in the reception, our offces are also equipped with a number of meeting rooms and a conference room ideal for private meetings and office training.
If you are not able to visit our offices but would like a face-to-face meeting, we are able to conduct conference calls and carryout virtual meetings using Microsoft Teams.
