Rents show half-year increase, report says

The cost of renting a buy
to let property has risen over the last six months, according
to findings.
Earlier today (December 22nd 2010), the Rent Index showed that
since June 2010, costs have increased by 3.246 per cent.
It also revealed that out of 5,526 tenancies, the average monthly
fee for a buy
to let property is currently £596.18.
This represents a growth of 1.912 per cent over the last 12 months,
which will come as good news to landlords who can now benefit from
a higher rental income than they could a year ago.
The findings come after Upad reported earlier this month that
buy
to let owners are currently confident in the marketplace.
It revealed that 60 per cent of residential landlords said they
felt better about their rental earnings in December 2010 than they
did in the previous month.
This is an increase from 54 per cent who said the same in
November.
